Powered by a reliable 215-horsepower Lycoming IO-390 engine, the SR20 delivers smooth performance and a maximum cruise speed of approximately 155 knots. Its responsive handling makes it an excellent aircraft for private pilot training while providing the performance and advanced systems students will encounter as they progress in aviation.

The Cirrus SR20 is built around a safety-focused design that includes the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System, commonly known as CAPS. In an emergency, CAPS is designed to deploy a parachute for the entire aircraft.
